Bukovac Has Managed Citizens Westfield Utilities Since 2020

INDIANAPOLIS – Citizens Energy Group today announced that Ed Bukovac has been promoted to Vice President, Water Operations. Bukovac succeeds Jeff Willman, who was promoted to Senior Vice President, Operations in December.

Bukovac joined Citizens in 2013 as an Engineering Project Manager and subsequently served in positions of leadership including Corporate Development Strategic Engineer, Manager of Westfield Utilities, and Senior Manager of Westfield Utilities before assuming the Director of Citizens Westfield Utilities role in 2020. Prior to joining Citizens, Ed worked for large national engineering firms and various public and private projects and taught graduate-level courses at University of Indianapolis.

As Vice President, Water Operations, Ed will lead a team of 340+ Citizens employees responsible for the daily operation of multiple water and wastewater utility systems that serve significant portions of the Central Indiana region.

“As Director of Citizens Westfield Utilities, Ed Bukovac oversaw all water and wastewater treatment and field operations for Westfield Utilities,” said Citizens Energy Group President & CEO Jeffrey Harrison “He also led both utilities through significant growth, with the customer base more than doubling from 20,000 to 40,000+ customers. Ed’s strong background in leading utility operations and his deep involvement in the community will serve our water and wastewater utilities, and our officer team, well.”

Ed holds Bachelor of Science degrees in civil engineering and land surveying engineering from Purdue University, and he earned a Master of Business Administration with a graduate certificate in finance from University of Indianapolis. He also is licensed as a Professional Engineer in the state of Indiana. Ed was named Top Scholar in his MBA class and is a graduate of the Hamilton County Leadership Academy and the American Council of Engineering Companies leadership program. In addition, he serves on the boards of Conner Prairie and Citizens own Warm Heart Warm Home Foundation™ and Investment Collaboration on Neighborhoods (ICON). He is also President of the Carmel Economic Development Commission.
